About Our Journey

Hey there! Starting and growing a health business can feel like a wild ride, right? Well, we've been on that rollercoaster too, and we're here to lend a helping hand so you can navigate the twists and turns with confidence. With over a decade of running multiple allied health businesses under our belts, we've learned a thing or two about what it takes to succeed, and now we're eager to share that wisdom with you.

Picture this: we opened our first business the same year we tied the knot. Yep, talk about diving into the deep end! Twelve years of marriage, business ventures, and raising a family—it's been a whirlwind of highs and lows. But you know what? We wouldn't change a thing. Those tough times? They've made us appreciate the good ones even more.

Fast forward to 2021, and we decided it was time for a new chapter. We sold our businesses and shifted our focus to helping others thrive. That's when Stages Consulting came to life in 2023.

On a personal note, we call the Gold Coast home, where we juggle life with our three kids. Balancing work and family is our jam and when we're not busy with that, you can find us cooking up a storm for friends and family, camping, or treating ourselves to a fancy kid-free getaway.

  • Justin Mistry

    DIRECTOR & BUSINESS CONSULTANT

    Hey there, I'm Justin, the guy behind Stages Consulting. Let me take you back to 2012 when I jumped into the Gold Coast health scene with Back In Motion Bundall, a franchised physiotherapy startup. Starting out solo with just two part-time receptionists, we grew into a bustling operation with three locations, over 35 staff, and a whopping 20,000 Gold Coasters served.

    Proudly, we expanded our services to include Clinical Pilates, Exercise Physiology, Podiatry, Shockwave Therapy, and more, ensuring our community had access to comprehensive health care.

    My secret sauce? A simple philosophy: delivering top-notch clinical results with a side of outstanding customer service and flawless long term strategy.

    In 2021, my clinics became part of Healthia, an ASX-listed company, giving me a chance to reflect on my 15-year journey as a physiotherapist and business owner. Back In Motion became a big part of my life, but in 2023, I decided it was time to step back and explore new horizons. Nowadays, you'll find me splitting my time between Stages Consulting, running a brewery, riding my motorbike and being a hands-on dad. Cheers to new adventures!

    Hey, I'm Monika, the brains behind Business Development at Stages Consulting. Let me take you back to 2008 when I kicked off my healthcare journey as a dietitian at Queensland Health. Curiosity was my driving force—I wanted to engage patients and spread the word about our services. That curiosity led me to dive into sales and marketing gigs in the pharmaceutical world, rubbing shoulders with big corporate players.

    Fast forward to 2016, and I officially joined forces with Justin at Back In Motion. Together, we worked our magic and passion, driving some serious growth and expansion.

    My secret sauce? I've got a knack for medical liaison, referral generation, and crafting marketing plans. Oh, and did I love being a little creative? Yep, I bring a fresh perspective to clinical spaces, all while keeping a laser focus on delivering services to satisfy the expectations of referrers and patients alike.

    What keeps me going? Simple: watching you and your business thrive. Whether it's helping you find clarity, strategising for success, or streamlining operations, I'm all in when it comes to fostering growth—both for you and your community. Let's make some magic happen!
